  2. Virus Name  : WEED v1.1
  3. PayLoad.....: Several. Ranges from files being corrupted (only to allow further
  4.               infection) to fat erasure. Also randomly deletes track/sectors on
  5.               occasion.
  6. Virus Target: *.exe and *.com files. Stealth infection routines. :)
  7. Virus Info..: WEED will disable vsafe/vscan if found in memory. WEED will
  8.               also infect files after the host has finished running. Good
  9.               example: pkzip and pkunzip.exe. Once pkunzip.exe is infected
  10.               any files it makes for you *.com and *.exe will become weed
  11.               carriers. That is, before you even have access to them.
  12. Virus Size..: Varies. Depends on the host size and what weed feels like doing.
  13. Encryption..: Oh yes, on host data... Encryption algorithm is much better
  14.               then previous version
  15. Stealth.....: Some. Infected *.com and *.exe files will not notice any
  16.               modification. Including f-prot :)

  20. WEED is original code! It is not based on any other virus. WEED is coded in
  21. ASM and ASIC. WEED is a stealth direct action file infector, no tsr. No boot
  22. sector infection, although boot-sector trashing ;)
  23. WEED currently is unknown to any virus scanner, and will pass hueristic av
  24. scanning with flying colors.
  25. WEED is *HIGHLY* infectious, and very fast! :)
